Atlantic Medical International (AMI) is Bermuda’s leading supplier of medical products and equipment for the acute and continuing care markets including both capital and consumable products.

Since its inception in 1997, AMI has quickly grown to become the most trusted supplier for the medical community in Bermuda. We have strong relationships with our customer base and work to offer state-of-the-art medical products as we partner with key manufacturers. Our goal is to provide our customers with the best products available at competitive prices while handling all of the logistical issues that come with living on an island.

AMI it the sole authorised distributor for industry leaders: 3M Medical, Baxter, Gambro, GoJo, Hill-Rom, Kimberly-Clark, Midmark, Tyco and Welch Allyn, amongst many others.

AMI operates out of a 4,500 square foot facility at 2 Jubilee Road in Devonshire that provides us with ready access to King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH) as well as Bermuda’s many medical and dental practitioners. Our product is consolidated in New Jersey and comes to us weekly in dedicated AMI containers.

Currently, we have a staff of 5 dedicated to the sales, marketing and logistics efforts of Atlantic Medical International and the products of our vendors.

Ed Sousa, the President of AMI, has extensive experience in the distribution business and also serves as President and General Manager, Butterfield & Vallis Consumer Product Division.

Peter Tobin, the Vice-President and Managing Director, has experience in both the medical and pharmaceutical industries. Peter works closely with KEMH and most of the company’s primary vendors and is responsible for all aspects of the company’s operations.

Jennifer McGill also brings experience from both the medical and pharmaceutical industries. Jennifer heads up the alternate site business including physician and dentist practices, rehabilitation centres, residential homes for the aged and consumer sales.

Lisa “Ricky” Barclay, the Operations Manager, has been with the company since its inception and is responsible for inventory management. As such, she works closely with our primary vendors and customers to ensure adequate inventory levels and controls.

Erskine Darrell is the Warehouse and Delivery Manager and has many years of experience in the warehouse/delivery environment.
