Atlantic Medical International (AMI) is Bermuda’s leading supplier of medical products and equipment for the acute and continuing care markets.

Since its inception in 1997, AMI has quickly grown to become the most trusted supplier for the medical community in Bermuda. It is Atlantic Medical International’s objective to be the premier provider of products, services and training to our clients.

AMI seeks to form direct relationships with leading medical manufacturers and avoid intermediary agents. AMI is the sole authorized distributor for such leading brands as: 3M Medical, Baxter, GoJo, Kimberly-Clark, Carestream, Welch Allyn, Virox, Dentsply and Covidien.

By forming direct links with the industry leaders we ensure our clients continual access to the products that they require in a timely and cost effective manner. AMI operates out of a modern 6,000 square foot facility at 2 Jubilee Road in Devonshire. Our central location provides us with ready access to King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEHM) as well as Bermuda’s many medical and dental practitioners. With weekly containers being received our inventory is closely rotated, monitored and revised to ensure the products our customers need are always on hand.

We have seven staff dedicated to the sales, marketing, and logistics efforts at AMI.

Ed Sousa, the President of AMI, has extensive experience in the distribution business and also serves as President and General Manager, Butterfield & Vallis Consumer Product Division.

Peter Tobin, the Vice-President and Managing Director, has extensive experience in both the medical and pharmaceutical industry. Peter works closely with KEMH and the company’s primary vendors and is responsible for all aspects of the company’s operations.

Gemma Rowe, Medical Sales Representative, is responsible for the alternate sites business; including physician and dentist practices, and consumer sales. Previously, Gemma, a Registered Nurse enjoyed a successful sales career with Vernon Carus a leading UK medical company.

Randall Bassett, the Manager of the Diagnostic Imaging division, has enjoyed many successful years in sales in the Bermuda healthcare industry and ensures that the medical imaging needs of the island are being met.

Arlene Andrews, our Operations Manager, has full responsibility for all inventory and operations related areas. Arlene, a registered Dietician, joined AMI after several years on the front line of Bermuda’s healthcare field.

Wayne Stevenson, is our Warehouse Manager. He works closely with Tyrone Fubler our warehouse assistant and driver to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all of our customer orders. In addition he co-ordinates much of the work done around the delivery and receiving of our weekly containers and is responsible for the overall running of the warehouse.
